Chelsea Grace Korka, (born June 10, 1989), is an American singer, songwriter, and model who participated in the 2006 Miss Florida USA.[1][2] Korka began her professional music career in 2007 after being signed to Interscope Records by Jimmy Iovine after she appeared on the The CW TV show Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll, and was a finalist in the competition.[citation needed][3] Jimmy Iovine then signed her to Interscope Records in August 2007 as a solo artist and also one of the singers in Jimmy's latest project, the Paradiso Girls. Career
At the age of nineteen, Chelsea became one of the nine finalists on The CW reality television series, Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. Chelsea then went to Ball Harbor in Miami and auditioned for the show. The final four elimination round featured choreography and Chelsea moved on together with Melissa Reyes, and Asia Nitollano to the season finale. Chelsea Korka (born June 10, 1986) is an American pop singer and former beauty pageant queen. As of 2007 she is a member of Pussycat Dolls' European spin-off group the Paradiso Girls. She is best known for her participation in the CW network TV show Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search For the Next Doll, where she was the 2nd runner-up.
She suffered from Bacterial Meningitis in 2005, and almost lost her life. Then in 2006, in a "spur of the moment" decision, she decided to take part in Pussycat Dolls Present. As well, she became Miss West Brodward USA 2007 at the age of 19 and competed in Miss Florida USA. Chelsea is ethnically Greek.
Thanks to her voice, admired by both contestants, judges and often compared to Christina Aguilera's, Korka made it to the semi-finals, where she was one of the girls who got sick, compromising her chances, but Robin Antin felt she was the girl with the most potential, and decided to have her move on to the next round.
