Iveta Mukuchyan

Iveta Mukuchyan is an Armenian singer. She was born in 1986in Yerevan, which was then part of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1992, she relocated to Hamburg, Germany. They briefly moved back to Armeniain 1995but soon returned to Germany. Mukuchyan attended school in Hamburg, from 1998to 2006, while also working as a part-time waitress. 

While in Germany, Iveta joined a music club and sang Celine Dion’s hit “My Heart Will Go On” during an event, leading her parents to realize her potential as a singer. Mukuchyan later enrolled at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, leaving her design studies in Germany incomplete. 

Iveta Mukuchyan began her musical journey in 2009 by participating in the fourth season of Hay Superstar, the Armenian equivalent of Pop Idol, where she claimed the fifth spot. Her performance earned her the Discovery of the Year award at the Armenia Awards in Moscow. Iveta Mukuchyan is an Armenian singer and model living in Germany. Born in Yerevan, she moved to Germany with her family in 1992 and returned to her homeland to attend university.

She participated in the 2010 season of Hay Superstar where she finished fifth. She also participated in the second season of The Voice of Germany in 2012.

Iveta was revealed to be the Armenian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm after AMPTV launched a video campaign featuring the silhouette of a female singer. She performed the song LoveWave and finished in 7th place in the final.

Iveta was the spokesperson for Armenia at the 2017 contest. She also co-hosted the 2022 Junior Eurovision contest in Yerevan.
