Bart bellon biography

Right so I went through Mike’s e collar seminar again and he does mention Bart at 00:30 at Part 2.

To prevent confusion, a reminder what ET means (from his seminar, though Ed also wrote about it in his correction e-book):
"Escape avoidance training covers any of the stuff we do with pressure, *period*. It’s either escape where they need to turn off pressure or avoidance where they learn to avoid some unpleasant consequence." – I think that’s a best definition we can get.

So, I think what Ed’s so much against is clearly not the ET itself but the old fashioned application of ET system where there’s no motivational foundation (marker training) and basically no use of positive reinforcement whatsoever. This is how hunting dogs used to be trained when continuous stim was first introduced with e collars.

Also, it’s interesting how different Mike is from Bart in the way they work with dogs. What Bart is doing is very similar to Mike’s system of training –in the seminar Mike mentioned that he borrowed most of his e collar knowledge f

The birth of Michael

Michael Bellon was born to Lewis Kilmer Taylor Peterson and Charles Hayes Peterson on 21 May 1965 in Charleston, South Carolina in the United States of America. Michael's father was on board a nuclear submarine on the day of her birth. Although they were expecting a boy, and had a name picked out, when Michael was born, Lewis picked the name Michael as a girl's name for her daughter. Lewis felt the name Michael was unique and strong, especially for a girl.

Because Charles Peterson was a commissioned officer in the Navy after graduation from the Naval Academy, Michael with her brother, Pete, moved around a lot as a small children. After Charles finished his normal military service (he continued for decades in the reserves), the family settled down in California where both parents attended Stanford University. Charles earned his degree in Business and his Law degree from Stanford, and Lewis attended Stanford to achieve an undergraduate degree and a law degree.

While Michael's parents were very busy, she was also. She liked to train th

About Us

Jackie Frascatore

Hello, So you want to know a bit about us...

  • My name is Jackie Frascatore, I am the founder, owner and trainer of A Dogs Life Training and Education. I am also a Nurse and  Army Veteran.
  • Here is a little bit of my history to give you some insight on why I love training dogs.   I remember how excited I was when I got my first dog. (I must have been a about 7 yrs. old.) My dad brought home some kind of beagle/hound mix. I named him Snoopy because Snoopy was, and still is my favorite dog. (Shhh, don't tell my now German Shepherds Misha, Luca, & Ace). Needless to say Snoopy was never trained but I loved him just the same. Once he was gone I missed him and would bring home every stray I could find. I would feed them, bathe them, and teach them tricks.   My mom once let me keep an Afghan Hound we somehow acquired from the horse stables. I trained her how to walk by my side, sit, and down. I took her everywhere, I would strut around the neighborhood so proud that she was so well behaved. My stepdad said I couldn't
