Aaron Paul was born Aaron Paul Sturtevant in Emmett, Idaho, to Darla (Haynes) and Robert Sturtevant, a retired Baptist minister. While growing up, Paul took part in church programs, and performed in plays.
He attended Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho. It was there, in eighth grade, that Aaron decided he wanted to become an actor. He joined the theatre department and became obsessed with the idea of acting for a living. After finishing school, Aaron moved to Los Angeles.
During the late '90's, he worked as an usher at the Universal Studios Movie Theatre in Hollywood. His television debut was in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), which was followed by an appearance in another Aaron Spelling series, Melrose Place (1992).
On the big screen, Aaron played the estranged son of Jeff Bridges in K-PAX (2001), and Tom Cruise's brother-in-law in Mission: Impossible III (2006).

Aaron Paul Sturtevant was born on August 27, 1979, in Emmett, Idaho. Paul moved to Los Angeles, California, at age 17, embarking on a decade-long run of spot television work and commercial gigs. After a successful run on the HBO series Big Love, Paul rose to fame playing Jesse Pinkman on the Emmy Award-winning TV drama Breaking Bad. Over the show’s five-year run, Paul won two Emmys.
Paul is the son of Darla née Haynes and Robert Sturtevant, a Baptist minister. He is the youngest of four children and was born a month premature in his parents’ bathroom. He has English, German, and Scottish ancestry. Paul attended Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho, graduating in 1998.

He is best known for portraying Jesse Pinkman in the AMC series Breaking Bad, for which he won several awards, including the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (2014), the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries, or Television Film (2013), and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. This made him one of only two actors to win the latter category three times (2010, 2012, 2014), since its separation into drama and comedy. He has also won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television three times (2009, 2011, 2013), more than any other actor in that category.
